| iSouerce India's eFiling
Service uses the internet for the filing of briefs, pleadings,
motions, and other lawyer-generated documents for the courts.
We assist attorneys and corporate counsel in eFiling for
a handful of trial courts which allow this service. We can
assist in eFiling complaints and pleadings in securities class
actions in Northern District of California's Securities Class
Action Clearinghouse. In debt collection cases in Shawnee
County, Kansas and District Court for the Western District
of Michigan. The following is list of all Federal courts accepting
electronic filing, which we can do. As of December 2003, there
are 19 District Courts and an even 50 Bankruptcy Courts listed.
Not a single Federal appeals court is on the list.
The filing of paper pleadings with the court imposes significant
burdens on the court's personnel and facilities. The pleadings
must be kept in an organized fashion, and of course they take
up a tremendous amount of room. iSouerce India's eFiling system
uses XML to leverage on interoperability and easy retrieval
and storage of legal materials. The same system is enabled
as web service and can be viewed through browser or any other
client.
Functional Standards
The Consortium for National Case Management Automation Functional
Standards Project has published a number of Functional Standards
in order to formalize technology issues and to "help
state courts more effectively use their financial and staffing
resources" to develop a "state-of-the-art computer
system". Some of the Standards have been approved, and
others are in the comment process. The listing as it currently
stands is:
Introduction to Case Management Standards
Civil Functional Standards
Domestic Relations Functional Standards
Criminal Functional Standards
Juvenile Court Case Management Functional Standards
E-Filing Functional Standards
Electronic Court Filing XML Standards
As the functional standard evolves, iSouerce India will adapt
to provide the best Service. At present you can upload draft
legal memoranda, pleadings, motions and briefs for both federal
and state courts to our system and we will do eFiling for
a nominal fee .
